I have a broken bone in my foot and have been sentenced to two weeks on crutches, no weight on foot. This is following three months in a walking cast (why do they call it that when you're not supposed to walk?). So I HAVE sit around and paint. Great, except that sitting inside all the time is not very inspiring. Especially as the clutter and "stuff" collects around me despite my family's efforts to hold things together. So I gaze out my studio door and realize that things really aren't that bad. Beauty IS in the eye of the beholder, once I'm willing to stop complaining and start beholding.
