I am captivated by softly aging houses (could it be that I'm beginning to relate?). This little house in Columbia continues to live a useful, though quiet, life. While I was painting a couple of rangers stopped in front, --how dare they!-- went inside and came out with some needed supplies. I was glad to see that the house doesn't sit empty, useless, ignored. There is a large tree in front that will soon be bright yellow. A little old blue-and-white house is a ready and willing backdrop to emphasize the impact of glorious fall in California.
Quiet Season is available on the website and can soon be seen at Prestidge Gallery (9x12")
