I left my house at 6:30 this morning, headed once again to Milfiori, the enchanting farmhouse and its grounds that I have been drinking in each month since last Fall. I feel so privileged to be able to spend hours there, in the company of fascinating, artistic people. Each visit is fresh, with some new flower showing off for the first time, or amazing spot of light highlighting an unnoticed treasure.
An early start was necessary as our temperatures have kicked in to true July form. Today's subject was portable, a still life that could sit in the sun while we painted in the shade! Don't you wish (sometimes, anyway) that life could so easily accommodated?
