I was not satisfied with a painting I had done last summer. It had some beautiful spots but as a whole, it didn't work. I held on to it (as opposed to painting on the backs of pieces of it) for the sake of those places in the painting that grabbed my heart. I recently pulled it out of hiding, considering the useable back again, but decided to try something new: I covered the paper with gesso (white acrylic paint), leaving those great places uncovered. So what started out as chairs, flowers, and trees, evolved into a sweet pause of appreciation for the moment at hand.
Watercolor and acrylic on paper, 15x22". $375.00
