Sun Spots

Do you ever have days that are bursting with joy? I've had a few of those lately because I am now cast-free and walking (nearly)normally. It's been a long three months and for some reason I've felt SUNFLOWERS. How's that for an emotion? I started out intending to do a "serious" sunflower painting, but then decided that those are a dime-a-dozen--kind of like paintings of Koi fish. I wanted to include an element that expresses where I am as an artist...so in goes the cute. It may discredit me in the serious world of art, but I don't think that's where I want to be anyway.
